3 objects

O1) Piggy Bank
Whenever I get coins, I always put them into my piggy bank. This is because I want to give presents to children in orphanage by these coins where my sister visits weekly. Before I started keeping coins in piggy bank, since my sister told me about the children in orphanage, I decided to keep coins for those children. I can feel the coins heavier than last time whenever I hold them up.

O2) Origami

My hobby is making origami. Since I was 5th grade, I have been making various types of origami especially stars. Sometimes, when I have free time, I always make origami. While making this, I feel good which make me forget about my stress because whenever I make them, they always reminds me of all the memories I had in Korea with my families and relatives especially the Winter. I feel stronger after I make these stars because they make me forget about my stress because whenever I make them, they always remind me of all the memories I had in Korea with my families and relatives. As I am living in Malaysia, even though the winter came, I didn’t feel like it was the winter because I have been spending years in Malaysia all days hot. I miss Korea a lot.

O3) Secret Diary
If I have any worries or happiness, I always write to my only secret diary. No one knows my secrets, except for my secret diary. It is my only friend who knows my secret very well. I feel comfortable after I sharing my feelings. Sometimes, I read my diary back to think about my precious times which helps me remember vividly what happened at that time and how I felt at that time.

Reason why this title is on my blog:

"If you don't walk today, you will have to run tomorrow."
This quote was made by Carles Puyol Saforcada who's one of the most well-known spanish football player. I was interested when I saw this quote at the age of 10. I still remember this quote because after I learned a lesson from the quote, I know how hard it is to complete my assignments in one day because I actually experienced these situations before. However I tried not to be lazy. Therefore, reason why this title is on my blog is that I want to remind myself to be responsible as a student. Even though I have tough time and later, delay the things that I'm supposed to do, eventually, my things will pile up. For example, last year, when I was tired and I kept delaying and piling them up, they got on my nerves. Then after one week, I ended up completing one week assignments in one day which took very long amount of time because at the meantime after the teacher gave the homework, I didn't do them at all and at the time the duration came and I had to hurry. Whatever they are, I think having habit of completing things little by little everyday would spend me less amount of time because it's better than never doing it. This year, my goal is to be responsible and well-prepared as a grade 7 student.

It's a Story Time!

Title: The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

Author: John Boyne

This book made me think about ... the situation that could happen in life. What I find strange about this story is that normally main character don't die. Also my prediction was way apart from the real story because Shumuel and Bruno's lives just turned out to be vain because of their innocence.

This book challenged me as a reader by ... understanding the sentence because sometimes I had to reread the passage to make sure I understand the story. I felt very unfair the war was after reading the book. I chose this book because the title was quite intriguing. By just looking at its cover, it looks like a funny story of child with bold head and pajamas on. But that was the wrong story. I like the part where Bruno discovers the secret from Shumuel. It's a very interesting story.

Don't read this book ... if you don't like violence. I would not recommand under my age. You will never forget the story no matter how hard you try to forget the story. There is a bit of shoking where Bruno's father happliy going to die because of his son, Bruno. I think that is the only part that is shoking. Overall it's a great book. Please Enjoy! :)

My Awesome Spring Break

I have tons of things to talk about the spring break because we went to several different places such as Singapore, Genting Highland and I also read books and practiced flute if I had to stay at home. I had more time to do them because it was the best time. It was fantastic!

My most memorable place was when I spent my holiday at Singapore with my family. This was my second time visiting Singapore because last time we didn’t have much time to look around there for two days because my sister had to take a HSK test which is a mandarin test but since we had to go there, we just decided to spend holiday in Singapore. There were lots of new places we went including Universal Studio in Sentosa Island and the Zoo.

First we went to Universal Studio. When we arrived there, we had to wait a lot to watch the shows because there were many people waiting for their turns. Anyways, in Universal Studio, we learned how the movies are made and we also watched musicals. Their beautiful singings with the talented dances attracted my interest more. It was getting dark. We finally went to watch the Disney movie, Shriek. The cool thing was that we watched in 4D, I thought as if I was really in the movie. How awesome was that?

The next day, we went to "night safari" in Zoo after eating dinner. It was called “night safari.” It was the first time I was going to night safari and I haven't been to a Zoo since I was a kindergardener. I was so excited and was looking forward to go to the “night safari” trip. I saw many animals that I never seen them real yet including hippos, lions and giraffes. They were very interesting to look at. They looked so cute and lovely. When we saw mother lion hugging baby lion, my mom told me they are just like us when I was a baby. I felt relaxed and comfortable of the smell and the scenary of the nature.

To conclude, I had wonderful time spending time and hope to go there again. I thoroughly enjoyed traveling there but I was also happy that I get to spend holiday with my family and that made our family’s relationship closer because usually in school days we don’t see each other often. What a fantastic holiday!

Chapter 6: The Castle of the Red Tower

How were the the Tripods able to control people? Tripods didn't want to have difference in opinion against humans because they believed that they were stronger than them. Everyone has the same thought process which means there are universal right and wrong about everything. Find evidence to show that even though Will is comfortable living at the castle, he is frustrated that the Comte, Comtess and Eloise have been capped. He was frustrated that Comte and Comtesse were not able to show their dislike towards the Trip which should be a basic reaction if your ruler doesn't do the right thing. At first Will thought Eloise was normal just like Will but now that he knows that she is capped Will decides to continue his journey. This was on page 116. Find evidence to show how Will feels about being capped. Will's feeling shows on pg 121 where he decide to stay at the castle or leave. "Was I to abandon my hope of freedom, surrender the mastery of my mind, for the sake of wearing caps to me? The notion was absurd." Will didn't want to deny Comtesse but he has to care about his friends too. He doesn't want to be capped anyway.

The White Mountain

How is Will Just Like You?

Will dares to take risk as he went to the white mountains where no one else was brave enough to go. But I dared to take risks too. I was once told of a ghost story that all my friends believed in. However I wanted to prove it wrong. I did what I was told to see the ghost and I did it without fear.

He is a very curious person because he wanted to find out if the tripods are real. Just like Will, I also had a similar experience to Will's journey. As band class is my favorite subject, I can not wait to play my flute again because I am always very eager of what we are learning for our next class.

So, these are the reasons why I think Will and I both have a similar personalities. . .

Paraoh iMovie Reflection

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzFHFkJfr-Q In Humanities class, I worked with John for this imovie project. I think John is a very hardworking student. He really focused on his work. John and I tried our best to provide this information easily. However, for the last slide, between picture and the speech was a bit awkward. The quality of the images was not good because I made a mistake just putting straight away in small size on Google instead of opening in big size. John and I tried to speak in a moderate pace which makes it more understandable and make sure the audience follow our topic. If I had to evaluate someone’s work, I would choose Pasha and Justin’s. They also worked on King Khufu. Even though they were struggling during recording and sometimes I couldn’t understand what they were talking about, I think did well because they had good information and creative pictures. Overall it was great.
