City Connection Reflection

1) What did you do well on the project?

I practiced speaking fluently. I used eye contact (part of non-verbal communication) and explained each point in detail. I also presented the information on the slide in short points so that the audience do not get bored or lost by reading a whole sentence.

2) What would you improve for future presentations/projects?

I would speak louder so that everyone can hear me. I will increase my presentation practice so that I will speak more confidently. I will also use more visual aids to be more creative In addition, I will make sure my grammar and spelling are correct.

3) What did you learn about the presentation process that could include your individual preparation in addition to the presentations of others?

I learned that the presentation process could be more successful if I include animation on my slides. This is so that I captivate my audience throughout the presentation. I will also engage my audience by making the presentation more interactive.

4) What did you learn from the city presentations of others?

I learned about the various cultures around the world. I also learned interesting facts about different countries.

5) How did you meet each of the requirements from the rubric?

I referred to the requirements to conduct my research on Seoul. However, I could have included information on the following: natural resources, age group and economy.

6) What is your analysis of your performance?

I thought I presented well because the feedback from my classmates were positive. My presentation went well. However, I expected higher marks than what I received. In order to do better next time, I will follow the guidelines more closely.

2011

1. Write 2 resolutions and goals for the coming year ~ Be sure to include rationale / explanations to support your ideas.

I have always expected too much every new year about my life. I think I was too greedy because I was just hoping good things to happen rather than trying hard to acheive my goal. As my grandfather told me to be realistic New Year Wish. So, while I was making a New Year resolution towards my ancestors, I have decided to study harder and improve a relationship with people around me. I had a horrible experiences in school days. Last year, I hardly put efforts on my study and did not have a good relationship my sister and friends. My grades were low since I was not organized and prepared for classes. I also often quarelled with my sister and friends for nothing which made me feel bad.I will try to make this school year more meaningful and enjoyable.

 2. Free Choice - Snapshot from your holidays, Exciting Christmas events, amazing experiences during the holidays.

During the winter vacation, I spent my holidays in Korea. I didn't have much memorable experiences because I usually stayed at home. My highlight was watching snow and going ice skating with my cousins and my sister. Although I took several lessons for skating before, I almost forgot skills. At first, my cousin who skated well helped me a lot. I fell down many times to the hard ice and was embarassed to see people laughing at me. As the time went, I was getting much better. I did not know it was cold because I had so much fun in skating. It was wonderful!

3. Explain one talent you possess or one thing that is interesting that nobody knew about you.

I am talented in drawing pictures. I love to draw especially cartoon characters. When I was about seven, I watched a lot of cartoon on TV animation. They had a very interesting faces. I liked the way the graphic was drawn. Therefore I decided to learn how to draw. Drawing step by step, I autimatically got attracted by the lines of the shapes. This activity really shows a creativity. I feel passionate whenever I draw pictures and I am fast learning the skills. Recently, I am trying to master a real scenerary. Since I am a good artist, I want to be a designer in the future.
