Chapter 6: The Castle of the Red Tower

How were the the Tripods able to control people? Tripods didn't want to have difference in opinion against humans because they believed that they were stronger than them. Everyone has the same thought process which means there are universal right and wrong about everything. Find evidence to show that even though Will is comfortable living at the castle, he is frustrated that the Comte, Comtess and Eloise have been capped. He was frustrated that Comte and Comtesse were not able to show their dislike towards the Trip which should be a basic reaction if your ruler doesn't do the right thing. At first Will thought Eloise was normal just like Will but now that he knows that she is capped Will decides to continue his journey. This was on page 116. Find evidence to show how Will feels about being capped. Will's feeling shows on pg 121 where he decide to stay at the castle or leave. "Was I to abandon my hope of freedom, surrender the mastery of my mind, for the sake of wearing caps to me? The notion was absurd." Will didn't want to deny Comtesse but he has to care about his friends too. He doesn't want to be capped anyway.

The White Mountain

How is Will Just Like You?

Will dares to take risk as he went to the white mountains where no one else was brave enough to go. But I dared to take risks too. I was once told of a ghost story that all my friends believed in. However I wanted to prove it wrong. I did what I was told to see the ghost and I did it without fear.

He is a very curious person because he wanted to find out if the tripods are real. Just like Will, I also had a similar experience to Will's journey. As band class is my favorite subject, I can not wait to play my flute again because I am always very eager of what we are learning for our next class.

So, these are the reasons why I think Will and I both have a similar personalities. . .
